Terms and Conditions for Rentals

Our Terms and Conditions for bike rental remain the same as our tours with the following exceptions:

• Minimum rental period is 2 (two) days.

• Rider’s minimum age is 25.

• There is a damage deposit of US$ 1,000.00.

• The rider is fully responsible for any damage to the motorcycle beyond the aforementioned damage deposit up to the replacement cost of the motorycle.  In case of damages, all repair costs shall be determined by ACS and will be deducted from the damage deposit, the remainder shall be credited back to the client's credit card account.  If the damages exceed the damage deposit, ACS shall present a bill to the client with the repair costs.

• We require a minimum of one month advanced reservation and a deposit of 30% of the rental or $200.00, whichever is greater.  Cancellations are accepted (in writing – email is fine) up to 1 (one) month before the rental date. If a cancellation occurs less than 1 (one) month from the rental date, the reservation deposit is not refundable.

• The rider can request additional gear for the motorcycle, such as tank bag, side bags, etc.  We do not charge for these items but they are subject to availability.

• We accept last minute reservations but we do not guarantee bike availability.

• In case of mechanical failure of the motorcycle we will replace the bike if another one is available, if not we will refund the remainder of the rental.  The bikes are based in Panama City so enough time has to be allowed for a replacement motorcycle.  If the bike has been damaged due to a fall or if we see that the bike has been ridden in an unsafe manner or on terrain unsuitable for this motorcycle or beyond the rider’s abilities, we will charge for bike recovery, depending on distance and location and we will terminate the rental contract without a refund.

• The regions of San Blas and Darien are strictly OFF LIMITS.  Our bikes are not allowed in these regions without prior written permission from ACS Motorcycle Tours.  If your bike is reported to us that it has been on either on the road to San Blas or in Darien there will be an additional charge of US$ 500.00 and an immediate termination of your rental without a refund - if your bike breaks down in those regions mentioned above there will be a charge of US$ 1,000.00 and an immediate termination of the of your rental without a refund - NO EXCEPTIONS.
